Midweek runs just found a new home.

Running Department is partnering with Great Eastern to bring you a monthly Wednesday evening run series at the Great Eastern Promenade, Kallang. A space designed for movement, now brought to life with the energy of our community.

Once a month, we gather for what we do best. Showing up, running together and getting through the week as one.

If you have joined us before, you know the rhythm. If this is your first time, you are in for something special.

 

What to Expect

Our Wednesday runs at the promenade follow the familiar Running Department format, with a slight twist in scenery.

  • 5km and 10km route options
  • Multiple pace groups led by our run crews
  • A structured yet welcoming environment for all runners
  • A midweek reset with good energy and even better company

Whether you are a regular runner or simply looking for a fun way to stay active with friends, everyone is welcome.

 

Schedule of Event

Here's what you can expect at our RD x Great Eastern Singapore - community run session.

Activity
6:45pm: Baggage Drop + Check-In (Please arrive at least 15min before start of event).
7:15pm: Briefing + Quick Introduction 
7:20pm: Group Photo
7:25pm: Flag Off by Pace Groups
8.30pm: Hydrate, Cool Down and Stretching
9:00pm: End of Event

 

Come Run With Us

This is more than just a run. It is about building consistency, finding your rhythm and being part of a community that shows up for one another.

Spots are limited for each session.

 

Safety Reminders:

Your safety matters to us! Here’s how we keep every run smooth and enjoyable for all:

  • Arrive early – Be at the meeting point 10 to 15 minutes before start time.
  • Weather updates & changes – In case of bad weather or programme adjustments, we’ll inform runners 60 minutes before start time on our social media channels.
  • Listen to your body – Do not run if you’re unwell or nursing an injury.
  • Stay aware –  We share paths with pedestrians, cyclists, and other running communities.
  • Keep to two abreast to ensure smooth flow for everyone.
  • Look out for traffic at crossings – safety first!
  • Hydrate! – While we provide hydration, it is important for runners to also bring along their own hydration and to drink up post-run.
  • Stop if you feel unwell –  There’s always another run to crush!
  • Help us keep our venue clean!

Directions
Rules & Regulations

  • Only registered runners with a valid RSVP will be allowed to join in the community run sessions. Runners who are not registered will not be allowed to join any part of the run session.
  • We have implemented a self check-in system. Runners with a valid run slot are required to scan the QR code at the event site to check-in.
  • Please do not attend the training session if you are feeling unwell.
  • All runners are to arrive at least 15 to 30 minutes prior to the start time
  • All runners are encouraged to bring their own hydration for the run.
  • Baggage deposit will be provided but limited. Runners are advised to travel light if possible.
  • Running Department reserves the right to suspend the account of a runner should they repeated no-show for their run sessions.
