Key Updates and Safety Reminders For Our Wednesday Run
Running with a community is more than just clocking the distance — it’s about creating a safe, enjoyable, and supportive environment for everyone.
As part of our ongoing partnership with the Health Promotion Board (HPB) and UOB Plaza, we’re introducing some important updates to our Wednesday evening runs that will help us grow together as a stronger, healthier community.
Healthy 365 Check-In: A Small Step for a Better Run Experience
From 1 October 2025, all runners will be required to scan in using the Healthy 365 App when attending our Wednesday sessions. Once you’ve scanned in, you’ll receive a wrist tag which gives you access to two essential services: baggage deposit and hydration support (1 serving per pax).
As our Wednesday runs are part of HPB’s Healthy Workplace Ecosystem, scanning in helps us comply with the Healthy Workplace Ecosystem requirements while also ensuring that every runner participates safely. It’s a small action that keeps things organised and ensures that support is provided fairly to all who join.
Running Safe, Running Smart
While the check-in process is new, some things never change — like the importance of running safely and looking out for one another. As our community continues to grow, it’s worth reminding ourselves of some simple but important etiquettes. We know that Wednesdays are a great time to catch up with friends, but we ask that all runners lower their volume and pay attention for just 3–5 minutes at the start of each session. This is when our run captains brief everyone on the programme and highlight important safety reminders. Getting your attention during this short window helps us ensure that the run is safe and smooth for everyone.
Weather Updates
Weather can sometimes be unpredictable. In the event of heavy rain or programme adjustments, we’ll update our social media channels 60 minutes before the run so you know what to expect.
Do not run if you are feeling unwell
Listening to your body is another key aspect of safe running. If you’re feeling unwell, recovering from an illness, or managing an injury, don’t force yourself to run. There will always be another session waiting when you’re ready to return.
Keep to two abreast
As we share our running paths with pedestrians, cyclists, and other groups, awareness is everything. Please keep to two abreast so everyone can move smoothly, and always check for traffic before crossing. If you’d like to take photos during the run, always check behind and ahead of you before stopping. A quick look around can prevent accidents and keep the flow safe for everyone.
Stay Hydrated
Hydration plays a big part too. While you’ll have access to 100PLUS or Ice Mountain at the run, we encourage everyone to bring their own hydration, especially on hotter days, and to continue hydrating post-run. It is also important to help us ensure that there are enough hydration for everyone by taking only 1 serving per runner (either 100PLUS or Ice Mountain).
Keep our venue clean
And finally, let’s continue to show respect for our venue and community. Dispose of trash properly.
Together for Safer, Stronger Runs
These updates and reminders are here to make sure that every Wednesday session is safe, fun, and welcoming for all. By scanning in, wearing your wrist tag, and practising good running etiquette, you’re helping to build a community that values both health and camaraderie.
We can’t wait to see you at our next Wednesday run at UOB Plaza!
FAQs About the Healthy 365 Check-In
We know you might have a few questions about this new process. Here are some answers to help clear things up:
Why do we need to scan in on Wednesdays?
Our Wednesday run at UOB Plaza is part of HPB’s Healthy Workplace Ecosystem, a long-term partnership to encourage healthier living in Singapore. Scanning in helps us stay compliant with the programme, while also ensuring that everyone who joins does so safely.
What happens if I don’t scan in?
If you skip the scan-in, you won’t receive a wrist tag. That means you won’t be able to deposit your bag or enjoy hydration support like 100PLUS or Ice Mountain.
Isn’t this the same as Running Department’s Train With Us Community Run system?
Not exactly, they serve different purposes. The Healthy 365 scan-in is a requirement for our collaboration with HPB and UOB Plaza, and it’s what entitles you to bag deposit. On the other hand, the Running Department Train With Us Community Run is our way of managing group sizes and keeping runners updated about cancellations or changes.
Do I still need to RSVP if I’m already scanning in?
No. For our regular Wednesday runs, the Healthy 365 check-in is all you need. RSVP with Running Department will only be required if we’re hosting special collaborations or event-based training runs such as SCSM Official Training Runs.
What if I’m a foreigner and don’t have access to the Healthy 365 App?
Don’t worry, you’ll be provided with a FormSG QR code for a quick and easy sign-in instead.
Can I still run if I refuse to scan in?
Yes, you can still join the run. However, without scanning in, you won’t be able to deposit your bag or access hydration support. We strongly encourage everyone to follow the process so that you can get the most out of the session.
Do I need to scan in for your other runs, like the Nike Run at Red Dot Design Museum?
No, this requirement only applies to our Wednesday community run sessions at UOB Plaza. Other sessions or collaborations will have their own arrangements, which we’ll always communicate clearly in advance.
